Catalogue and Graphic Identity designed for the 2022 Goldsmiths BA Design Degree Show “Where are the Margins?”
“As the world changes, societal structures shift and overlap. Values are swept up in cultural currents, colliding with others’ beliefs. Ideas integrate with people’s views, becoming part of a larger whole. In a world of ideologies in constant motion, our ideas formulate when considering our perception of reality and circumstance. We navigate visible and invisible margins.
In asking Where are the Margins? We explore and define our own practices; beginning to comprehend where we, as designers, situate ourselves within society, mapping our trajectory, finding our place. We can then orient ourselves against and amongst each other, improving by our collaborations and interpretations of each other’s projects; integrating and transmuting different elements into a more coherent whole. When lines of interest intersect and overlap, concepts bleed out into new compositions and our work becomes marginalia.”
